A basket ships by parcel to a street address, so it cannot go to a PO box, a graveside or a service. What it can do is reach a bedside, a resident's door, a campus mailroom or a hotel front desk, as long as the order names the person the way that place expects. Below, the kinds of places in and around Gratis that boxes get sent to, how each one receives a parcel, and a local example laid out the way the label should read. For a service itself, the same-day flowers on this page go by hand through the local florist.
Reception signs for the box and staff bring it through, so a weekday delivery reaches the resident faster than a Saturday one. Soft baked goods, fruit and sugar-free boxes are the usual choice.
Verified Places checked by Gift Basket Delivery team · September 2026 · Sources: Overture Maps Foundation. Names, addresses and facility facts come from those public datasets and are checked by hand; spotted one that has moved or closed? Let us know and it comes off the page.

Times are your recipient's local time (Eastern). Flowers and fruit baskets on this page are fulfilled by James Cress Florist (family-run since 1903) through a florist near Gratis that it has vetted: that shop makes the piece from fresh stock and brings it to the door by hand. *Sundays: the florists in that network deliver only on a few major holidays. In the rare case that no florist near Gratis can take the order, the full amount is refunded.
Baskets ship 2-day, sooner in some regions, and you pick the delivery day on the calendar at checkout. An order placed by 3:45 PM Eastern can arrive as soon as two days later; the calendar shows the exact days open for your recipient's ZIP code (45330).
Gift baskets ship 2-day: an order placed by 3:45 PM Eastern can reach Gratis as soon as two days later, on the delivery day you choose at checkout. Next-day delivery is offered for some regions at certain times of the year; the checkout calendar shows what is available for your recipient's address.
Baskets travel by parcel and can wait on a step for an afternoon, so the month decides the contents. Thirty-year averages for Gratis, month by month, with the ones that matter marked.
November in Gratis: afternoons around 52°F, nights around 31°F. A box that waits outside overnight can freeze, so jams, sauces and fresh fruit do better at an office or a front desk than on a porch.
Freezing nights (January, February, March, November and December). The average low reaches 17°F in January. Jams, sauces and fresh fruit should not spend a night outside; offices, senior residences and hospitals all receive indoors.
Wettest months (May and June). Around 4.8 and 4.6 inches of rain on average. Boxes are sealed, not waterproof: a covered porch or a workplace address keeps the packaging presentable.
On freezing nights a shipped box waits outside; flowers do not. The same-day flowers on this page are carried in by a local florist and handed over.
Normals: NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, 1991 to 2020, Eaton station, 8.2 miles from Gratis. Heat: average high 85°F or more. Freezing: average low 32°F or less. Snow: 2 inches or more in the month. Wettest: the two months with the most rain.
