Hospital deliveries in Georgetown

A basket ships by parcel to a street address, so it cannot go to a PO box, a graveside or a service. What it can do is reach a bedside, a resident's door, a campus mailroom or a hotel front desk, as long as the order names the person the way that place expects. Below, the kinds of places in and around Georgetown that boxes get sent to, how each one receives a parcel, and a local example laid out the way the label should read. For a service itself, the same-day flowers on this page go by hand through the local florist.

Hospitals

Parcels go to the hospital's receiving desk or mailroom and are brought up by staff, so pick a delivery day that lands before the expected discharge. Baked goods, fruit and snack boxes suit a room; nothing that needs a fridge. Where a unit does not allow fresh flowers, a basket or a plant is the surer gift.

Can a basket be shipped to Medical Center Barbour?

Yes. Medical Center Barbour sits 7 miles out from Georgetown, and the box goes to its street address. Address the box to the patient's full name with the unit or room number and use the hospital's street address. Hospitals take parcels at a receiving desk or mailroom and staff bring them up, so pick a delivery day that lands before the expected discharge; a box that arrives after the patient has left sits in the mailroom until someone claims it. Fresh flowers are not allowed on some units, so for intensive care or oncology a basket or a plant is the surer gift.
