Hospital & campus deliveries in Russiaville

A basket ships by parcel to a street address, so it cannot go to a PO box, a graveside or a service. What it can do is reach a bedside, a resident's door, a campus mailroom or a hotel front desk, as long as the order names the person the way that place expects. Below, the kinds of places in and around Russiaville that boxes get sent to, how each one receives a parcel, and a local example laid out the way the label should read.

Hospitals

Parcels go to the hospital's receiving desk or mailroom and are brought up by staff, so pick a delivery day that lands before the expected discharge. Baked goods, fruit and snack boxes suit a room; nothing that needs a fridge.

Colleges and campus mailrooms

Campus mailrooms hold parcels for pickup and notify the student, so a text to say a box is on the way helps. Exam weeks and move-in are the busy times; care packages go out two business days ahead.

Good to know

  • Gift baskets ship 2-day, so they are not a same-day gift: for a date that matters, order two business days ahead or more and pick the day at checkout.
  • Add the recipient's phone number at checkout; the carrier uses it if the address needs a second look.
  • Business, hospital and campus addresses: include the department, room or mailbox so the front desk can route it.

Can a basket be shipped to Ascension St Vincent Kokomo?

Yes. Ascension St Vincent Kokomo sits 8 miles out from Russiaville, and the box goes to its street address. Address the box to the patient's full name with the unit or room number and use the hospital's street address. Hospitals take parcels at a receiving desk or mailroom and staff bring them up, so pick a delivery day that lands before the expected discharge; a box that arrives after the patient has left sits in the mailroom until someone claims it.

October in Russiaville: afternoons around 65°F, nights around 42°F. Nothing in the forecast averages argues against a doorstep delivery; any basket in the catalog travels well.

Freezing nights (January, February, March, November and December). The average low reaches 17°F in January. Jams, sauces and fresh fruit should not spend a night outside; offices, senior residences and hospitals all receive indoors.

Snow (January, February, March and December). About 34 inches a year on average. Allow one extra business day when the date matters: a birthday box that ships two days out still lands on time if it leaves three days out.

Wettest months (June and July). Around 5.2 and 4.7 inches of rain on average. Boxes are sealed, not waterproof: a covered porch or a workplace address keeps the packaging presentable.

Normals: NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, 1991 to 2020, Kokomo 3 WSW station, 5.7 miles from Russiaville. Heat: average high 85°F or more. Freezing: average low 32°F or less. Snow: 2 inches or more in the month. Wettest: the two months with the most rain.
