A basket ships by parcel to a street address, so it cannot go to a PO box, a graveside or a service. What it can do is reach a bedside, a resident's door, a campus mailroom or a hotel front desk, as long as the order names the person the way that place expects. Below, the kinds of places in and around Liberty that boxes get sent to, how each one receives a parcel, and a local example laid out the way the label should read. For a service itself, the same-day flowers on this page go by hand through the local florist.
Parcels go to the hospital's receiving desk or mailroom and are brought up by staff, so pick a delivery day that lands before the expected discharge. Baked goods, fruit and snack boxes suit a room; nothing that needs a fridge. Where a unit does not allow fresh flowers, a basket or a plant is the surer gift.
Reception signs for the box and staff bring it through, so a weekday delivery reaches the resident faster than a Saturday one. Soft baked goods, fruit and sugar-free boxes are the usual choice.

Reception signs. Most senders choose something the relatives keeping vigil can share: coffee, tea, cookies, fruit.
The front desk matches the box to the reservation and hands it over at check-in. Ship for the day the guest arrives or the day before, never for after checkout.
Also near Liberty: TownePlace Suites by Marriott Kansas City Liberty and Sleep Inn and Suites Indoor Waterpark.

Times are your recipient's local time (Central). Flowers and fruit baskets on this page are fulfilled by James Cress Florist (family-run since 1903) through a florist near Liberty that it has vetted: that shop makes the piece from fresh stock and brings it to the door by hand. *Sundays: the florists in that network deliver only on a few major holidays. In the rare case that no florist near Liberty can take the order, the full amount is refunded.
Baskets ship 2-day, sooner in some regions, and you pick the delivery day on the calendar at checkout. An order placed by 3:45 PM Eastern can arrive as soon as two days later; the calendar shows the exact days open for your recipient's ZIP code (64068, 64069).
Yes. Liberty Hospital sits 2 miles out from Liberty, and the box goes to its street address. Address the box to the patient's full name with the unit or room number and use the hospital's street address. Hospitals take parcels at a receiving desk or mailroom and staff bring them up, so pick a delivery day that lands before the expected discharge; a box that arrives after the patient has left sits in the mailroom until someone claims it. Fresh flowers are not allowed on some units, so for intensive care or oncology a basket or a plant is the surer gift.
Baskets travel by parcel and can wait on a step for an afternoon, so the month decides the contents. Thirty-year averages for Liberty, month by month, with the ones that matter marked.
October in Liberty: afternoons around 68°F, nights around 43°F. Nothing in the forecast averages argues against a doorstep delivery; any basket in the catalog travels well.
Heat (July and August). Afternoons average 85°F or more, peaking near 88°F in July. Send chocolate, cheese and fresh fruit to a workplace or a front desk in these months; baked goods, nuts, coffee, tea and spa baskets can take a doorstep drop.
Freezing nights (January, February, March, November and December). The average low reaches 17°F in January. Jams, sauces and fresh fruit should not spend a night outside; offices, senior residences and hospitals all receive indoors.
Snow (January, February, March and December). About 19 inches a year on average. Allow one extra business day when the date matters: a birthday box that ships two days out still lands on time if it leaves three days out.
Wettest months (July and May). Around 5.4 and 5.2 inches of rain on average. Boxes are sealed, not waterproof: a covered porch or a workplace address keeps the packaging presentable.
Weather only matters for the shipped box. The same-day flowers on this page are carried in by a local florist and handed over, whatever the month.
Normals: NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, 1991 to 2020, Kearney 3e station, 8.1 miles from Liberty. Heat: average high 85°F or more. Freezing: average low 32°F or less. Snow: 2 inches or more in the month. Wettest: the two months with the most rain.
