Good to know

  • Gift baskets ship 2-day, so they are not a same-day gift: for a date that matters, order two business days ahead or more and pick the day at checkout.
  • Add the recipient's phone number at checkout; the carrier uses it if the address needs a second look.
  • Business, hospital and campus addresses: include the department, room or mailbox so the front desk can route it.

October in Hereford: afternoons around 59°F, nights around 28°F. A box that waits outside overnight can freeze, so jams, sauces and fresh fruit do better at an office or a front desk than on a porch.

Freezing nights (January, February, March, April, October, November and December). The average low reaches 15°F in January. Jams, sauces and fresh fruit should not spend a night outside; offices, senior residences and hospitals all receive indoors.

Wettest months (December and November). Around 3.3 and 2.7 inches of rain on average. Boxes are sealed, not waterproof: a covered porch or a workplace address keeps the packaging presentable.

Normals: NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, 1991 to 2020, Austin 3 S station, 22.3 miles from Hereford. Heat: average high 85°F or more. Freezing: average low 32°F or less. Snow: 2 inches or more in the month. Wettest: the two months with the most rain.
