Good to know

  • Gift baskets ship 2-day, so they are not a same-day gift: for a date that matters, order two business days ahead or more and pick the day at checkout.
  • Add the recipient's phone number at checkout; the carrier uses it if the address needs a second look.
  • Business, hospital and campus addresses: include the department, room or mailbox so the front desk can route it.

October in Shipman: afternoons around 71°F, nights around 45°F. Nothing in the forecast averages argues against a doorstep delivery; any basket in the catalog travels well.

Heat (July and August). Afternoons average 85°F or more, peaking near 87°F in July. Send chocolate, cheese and fresh fruit to a workplace or a front desk in these months; baked goods, nuts, coffee, tea and spa baskets can take a doorstep drop.

Freezing nights (January, February and December). The average low reaches 26°F in January. Jams, sauces and fresh fruit should not spend a night outside; offices, senior residences and hospitals all receive indoors.

Wettest months (May and June). Around 4.6 and 4.5 inches of rain on average. Boxes are sealed, not waterproof: a covered porch or a workplace address keeps the packaging presentable.

Normals: NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information, 1991 to 2020, Tye Rvr 1 SE station, 10.6 miles from Shipman. Heat: average high 85°F or more. Freezing: average low 32°F or less. Snow: 2 inches or more in the month. Wettest: the two months with the most rain.
